NaNoWriMo! :D

Hey Girls and Guys (I doubt guys read my blog though. Haha!)!

Today I have an exciting announcement (well, exciting for me...)! I, Quinlyn Caroline You-Don't-Need-To-Know-My-Last-Name, is participating in NaNoWriMo.

How awesome is that?! :D One of the best parts is that you can participate, too! If you are under 13 just go to the link on that little picture. If you are over 13 (even an adult) go HERE. During the month of November (1st thru 30th) you write a novel. Yes, a whole novel. Don't look at me like that. Stop and think how awesome you'll feel after you write a novel in a month. Finished? Awesome! See, how many kids can have the bragging rights to say that they wrote a novel in a month? The default word count is 50,000 words, but you can adjust the word count! :D This is my first time doing NaNoWriMo so I am aiming for 10,000. I can't wait till November 1st. My mom will probably have to beg me to stop writing. Haha!

And one thing that I am SUPER excited about for this is that if you reach your word goal (see above, mine is 10,000 words) then they will send you a paperback copy of your novel-free. *crowd goes WILD!* Yes, I almost fainted when I heard that, too. Imagine having a copy of your book for your very own to keep forever! Excuse me while I faint, die, etc. from the awesomeness.

So don't waste any more time...if you enjoy writing, go over and pledge to write a novel in a month!! :D If you do, then please leave a comment telling me your username and I will add you as a Writing Buddy. My username is Quinlyn, duh. Hehe

On another note, I have re-discovered my James Herriot books. It's strange because I will just veer off into a totally different book when I am reading one. And then eventually I'll pick up ol' James again and wonder why I ever stopped reading in the first place. I've probably rambled on about this subject before but I just adore these books. No, I do not condone some of the language used, but other than that they are magical, wonderful books. There's so much charm involved...MUCH more then you would think would come out of a book about a Veterinary Surgeon living in the 30's. As long as you can stand the thought of blood and certain...OTHER...things, then read these books and I can almost garantee that you won't ever want to put them down. Then you'll get addicted and start watching the TV show. And then when you realize that you are hopelessly lost in the world of James Herriot, then come back to me and tell me how awesome it was.

Cya later, alligators!

This is all very exciting, Quinlyn! I'm so glad you're doing this and will hope you can get your 10,000 words written so you can get a copy of it. Keep me posted and good luck! Mimi
