Ladies and Gentlemen, Saige!

Hello Everyone!

Today, pictures of the new Girl of the Year doll, Saige, have been leaked. Usually we don't get access to photos of GOTYs so early, so this is a treat!

Now of course, this isn't guaranteed to be Saige's official look. This could be prototype or maybe an elaborate scheme to make us all BELIEVE it's Saige, but I'm thinking this is it. ;)

Now that you have images, what do you think of her? My first thought was that she looked a lot like Nicki, but they do have several differences:

• Saige has auburn hair, which looks like it might be longer than Nicki's. 
• Saige has pierced ears (a first for a GOTY doll!)
• Saige has the Marie-Grace eyes, which are a blue-green color and very nice. 
• Nicki had a cooler outfit. Alright, alright, that's open to interpretation...

But about the outfit, I do think that AG could have done much better on it. In my personal opinion, it's too tight, too short, and almost painfully plain. The belt, while a neat design, seems to be positioned too low on her dress. However, I think the boots are really cute. 

I also wish that Saige had straight eyebrows. Again, this is just my opinion--lots of people prefer the feathered because they look more realistic, but I favor straight on most dolls. Not all, but most. But let's take a little look-see at the recent AG releases:

Rebecca - Feathered

MAGs #53, #55, #56, #57, #58 (the most recent MyAG's released; not sure about #54, as she has bangs and I can't see her eyebrows) - Feathered

Hmm. The data, it is startling. I wonder if AG just prefers feathered eyebrows themselves, or if they sell better?

But enough about eyebrows! ;) I think Saige has very nice hair. I think it'll probably end up to be like Felicity and Elizabeth's hair combined, just without the pincurls. Wavy-auburn, which will be lovely. I also really like, of course, that Saige is from New Mexico! Woo hoo!
